Welcome to Wasa Segelförening

Wasa Segelförening is the official Guest Harbour of Vaasa.The berths for guests are situated on 40 m long pontoon. The pontoon is marked GÄSTER / VIERAAT. 

The guest pontoon (1) has 15 berths equipped with buoys for the stern llines. There is electricity and fresh water on the pontoon. Skippers of boats with a draft exceeding 2,2 meters are advised to tue up on the outside of the outer pontoon (2) and to contact the Harbourmaster's office for suitable mooring. In case the guest pontoon is full visitors will be allocated an other free mooring.

The modern Club House (3) houses the Harbourmaster's office, as wellas showers, toilets (including toilets for disabled persons), washing machine, tumble dryer, drying room and the well appointed kitchen, all of which are available for visitors. The children's playground (4) is situated on the lawn next to the Club House. At the top of the lawn you can find Restaurang Seglis (5), serving lunch on weekdaysand à la carte every evening. In the forest abovce the restaurant you can find a running track and the Zip adventure park. The sauna (6) on the pier is open to visitors. During the peak season the Harbourmaster's office is manned from 8 am to 6 pm by the harbour hosts of WSF and Visit Vaasa and from 6 pm to 6 am by WSF's night watchmen. There is free WiFi on the premises. However, coverage in the entire harbour are is not guaranteed.WiFi codes can be obtained from the Harbourmaster's office.

There is an emptying station for black water and bilge water (7) and waste disposal center (8) for various types of waste, incuding oil. There is 5 ton crane and mast crane  (9) and two launcing ramps (10, 11). Fuel can be bought at the fuel station in Brändö sund on the other side of Norra stadsfjärden and from Boatcenter, located between WSF and Vasa Motorbåtsklubb.

A detailed harbour description can be found on the solrutten web site. It also includes descriptions of the approach to WSF and the two fuel stations. The hihg voltage line that used to hamper access was raised to 32 metres in 2014.

The distance from WSF to the city centre is just under 2 km. The tropical swimming paradise Tropiclandia is situated a short walk from WSF. The popular beach Sandö is located half way between WSF and the city centre. Our visitors have free access to bicycles.

The approaches to Vaasa are either from the North along the farirway past Ritgrund and under the magnificent Replot bridge, from the West alng the fairways from Norrskär and Rönnskär, or from the South  along the fairway past Bergö.
